Families Group (Kids Welcome)

2nd Monday of Each Month from 6:00-7:30 pm
There are many types of families, so all are welcome to this group, with a special invitation to lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, questioning/queer parents and their children.  Teens, single people, and anyone looking for a communal meal are also welcome.  This group takes place during our drop-in hours (which are M, T, W 3-7 and Saturday 1-3,) so it's fairly low-key and flexible for families.  It is potluck style, so bring some food to share if you can.  Also, bring a board game or a favorite toy.  The LGBTQ Center has a Wii for video games, some kids' books, and art supplies too.

This group is for parents, family, and friends of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer/questioning people.  We are a chapter of a national organization.  We recognize the challenges of family members and create a safe and welcoming space to explore questions, concerns, and hopes.
